The squad decides that the scrounger could do with a hand. After diffusing the situation, the investigators try to barter with the commandos to gain some better US weapons, but are unsuccessful. With time moving on, the squad devises a plan for how they should capture a US officer. They gather intel from some returning German troops, and decide to set up an ambush in a ravine in the forests of the Ardennes.

Moving out in their Greyhound armoured car, the squad drives towards the Ardennes region. An Allied plane flying above causes some concern, but the squad drives onwards and the plane appears to ignore them. Reaching a fork in the road, the squad's resident cartographer, Daniel Werner, climbs up a nearby ridge to assess the correct route.

Continuing along the left-hand road, the squad turns a corner and comes face to face with a full squad of ten American infantry who are crossing the road. The investigators decide to continue on and avoid any interaction, but a situation arises where they could capture the US captain who is leading the infantry. Seizing this opportunity, they grab the captain and speed off down the road!

The squad manages to transport the US captain to the rendezvous point – a farm near the village of Harperschield – with only minor issues caused by the captain's spirited attempts to escape. After another tense altercation with Engel's muscle-bound assistant, the major appears with three men in white laboratory smocks. The men escort the captive captain away to a far building. The investigators have a few different options for their next move: talk to Engel, investigate the farm buildings, or visit the nearby village?
